LifeSaver Lifeline Personal Water Filter
A straw-style filter for people on the move
PRE-ORDER now for dispatch 20th March
We are delighted to introduce the NEW LifeSaver Lifeline, a lightweight straw-style personal water filter that allows you to drink safe, fresh-tasting water directly from streams and rivers. And with replaceable Filter Cartridge and Activated Carbon Filters, you keep your single-use plastic to a minimum.
Each LifeSaver Lifeline is capable of removing 99.99% bacteria, parasites, microplastics and sediment from up to 5,000 litres of contaminated water, making it the smallest, lightest water filter in our range. And with an optional Squeeze Pouch and Gravity Bag, it's also the most flexible.
What does the LifeSaver Lifeline do?
-
The Lifeline ultrafiltration filter removes:
- Bacteria - 99.9999%
- Parasites - 99.99%
- Microplastics - 99.99%
- The Activated Carbon Filter has been tested to show excellent and consistent heavy metal and chemical reduction over a range of sample contaminants such as chlorine, lead, nickel and cadmium. Improving taste and odour along the way.
- Reduces turbidity of glacial, cloudy or muddy water
How Safe is the LifeSaver Lifeline?
- Lifeline is the only water straw system that has been tested & certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards:
- NSF/ANSI 42 Class 1 Particulates 0.5-1 micron (fine sediment reduction)
- NSF/ANSI 401 Emerging compounds / Incidental Contaminants, microplastics 99.99%
- NSF/ANSI 372 Lead-free content compliance
Independently tested to exceed:
- NSF/ANSI P231 Reduction of Bacteria and Protozoan Cysts >99.9999%
-
FailSafe technology - The last drop is as clean as the first drop. The flow rate reduces when the cartridge needs replacing.
- Long-lasting case is BPA-free
How Big is the LifeSaver Lifeline?
The Lifeline is about the same size as a large tube of toothpaste. Or a single-bladed light sabre handle - for those in the know.
Dimensions: 220mm x 50mm x 50mm (8 x 2 x 2 inches)
Dry Weight: 85g (3 oz)
Purifies: 5,000 litres (1,300 US gallons)
Who is the Lifeline for?
It's lightweight and pocket-sized, so ideal for hiking, rambling, climbing and backpacking, but it also fits in a car glove compartment for emergencies. It's a perfect backup for preppers too.

LIFELINE FAQs
Why doesn't the LifeSaver Lifeline remove viruses?
Viruses are much smaller than bacteria, parasites, sediment and microplastics. The pores in the ultrafiltration filters in our other products are small enough to catch viruses, but you need a pump to force water through. The Lifeline relies on the user sucking water up through the filter with their mouth - almost impossible to do with a virus filter. Even when using a Squeeze Pouch, the amount of pressure you'd need to force water through a virus filter would probably split the seams. Similar products to ours may make virus claims, but they won't remove the smallest viruses.
Can I use a Lifeline anywhere in the world?
You should always research the risks carefully before travelling overseas, but, in general, a Lifeline will keep you safe in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. For travel to Africa, Asia, South America, or any country with poor sanitation, we'd recommend choosing a more robust solution such as the Liberty or Wayfarer. Remember, the nastiest infections come from poop; in an area where sanitation is poor, poop will likely make its way into the groundwater.
Can you even call it a LifeSaver if it doesn't remove all microbiological contaminants?
The short answer is yes. Dehydration will make you unwell very quickly and, if you must choose between water that has come straight from a river and water that has been filtered for bacteria, parasites and sediment, a Lifeline is absolutely the best option. Aside from virus reduction, the Lifeline meets all other LifeSaver Values, most important of which is the rigorous testing and NSF certification.
Do I have to keep my Lifeline wet when in storage?
Now. Unlike our water purifiers, the pores in the membrane are larger and more robust, so they don't have to be kept damp. When you get back from your trip, simply rinse everything off and allow it to dry out completely before you put it away
