LifeSaver Cube Carbon Discs

Improve the water purified by your LifeSaver Cube even further with these replaceable Activated Carbon Filters which reduce chemicals and heavy metals as well as removing bad taste and odour, each effective for up to 100 litres.

Our premium activated carbon discs used in all LifeSaver products have been tested to show excellent and consistent heavy metal and chemical reduction for their stated life over a range of sample contaminants such as chlorine, lead, nickel and cadmium. Improving taste and odour along the way.

Quick and easy to replace, the activated carbon filter is fitted to the underside of the Cube tap. The microbiologically clean water which has been passed through LifeSaver's ultra filtration cartridge then gets filtered through the carbon disc.

How does an Activated Carbon Filter work?

Activated carbon filters work though adsorption; as water passes through the filter, contaminant molecules get snagged by the rough surface of the fibres. They can only do this in a single layer. Once the all the surfaces inside the filter are coated with contaminants, further impurities with slide on through. You'll know when this happens because the water will start to taste off. It's still safe to drink - the ultrafiltration cartridge will carry on working - but for the best taste, and for the comfort of knowing any non microbiological contaminants are being reduced - you should replace your carbon filter.

This 6 pack of activated carbon filters will filter up to 600 litres of water before a replacement pack is required.

Lifesaver cube.

Well let me start by saying this is a top quality peace of kit a must have if your outdoors, Firstly I must have gotten one with a dodgy tap on is as mine would not lock on to do hands free filling. I got in touch with lifesaver I sent them a video of the defective tap & they sent me a replacement straight away. Pros. Great product , you can tell by your kettle in the house as to what it leaves behind, I haven't hade to de-scale my kettle for months. The cons. This is expensive for what it is but, you get what you pay for & let's not forget they're made here in the UK. Expensive but worth every penny in my opinion.
